A Dedication To Cultivating Confidence Early

How Soccer Built Confidence In a Young Girl

This gal here? That's me at 12 years old. As a young Nepali girl growing up in America, soccer instilled a profound sense of pride and confidence in me, shaping my journey through school and beyond.

From racing across the fields during recess to holding my own against boys, soccer taught me resilience and the ability to tackle any challenge as—whether on the field or in the classroom. It humbled me, highlighting my role as a defender: strong, composed, and reliable.

These core skills carried me through college, where I balanced soccer with academics and social clubs, and into the professional world at a Big 4 consulting firm. Now, with Ready Set Rise, I'm dedicated to helping our youth cultivate confidence early, encouraging them to face any room or field with assurance.

“Sports creates a bond between peers that lasts a lifetime.
It gives your life structure, discipline and a sincere fulfillment."

-Bob Cousy
